The Best Day Ever... So far

Dear Friends... Let me first say that I never find a great deal. Normally I would exaggerate, BUT I am serious when I mean NEVER! Now, what are the odds that I would find THREE great deals in ONE DAY!!! Someone upstairs knew that I finally deserved some luck, and it totally made my crappy day!!! First great find, lunch hour at Borders. Missy J and I are in search of a calendar for her desk and to buy a 'Get Well Card' for T. As we are searching, I look up and notice the 50% sign! (This is good, I normally miss all the 50% off sales.) I find a freaking cute calendar that screams T. Designer shoes people.(This describes T to, well, a tee!) Anywho, I happen to have a $5 off coupon, which normally has strings attached but not this time!!! This calendar which was originally $17 was purchased for an AMAZING deal of $3.19!!!! Woot woot! (Please hold your applause.) Next on the great find list, I am at Hancocks buying some yarn for a new project and there I find a bin, with discounted yarn. Now this isn't your generic crappy yarn, this is the good stuff. So it's like originally $7 and now it's marked down to $4. WELL, apparently this lady in front of me was freaked out by the dark and didn't want to walk to her car by herself. She kept saying she needed to get home quick but needed help. So, I tell her I will help and the gal at the counter says, "That's so sweet of you! Youngsters aren't that kind anymore." (Brownie points, AND note I am not a youngster) Well because of my good deed I got the yarn FOR FREE!!!! Sweet! (Thanks counter lady!)So, I thought my day couldn't get any better. UNTIL.... I go to Macys for some much needed Pepsi love. I walk down the isle and see a familiar box. One we don't see much of anymore. They had a limited time vintage Pepsi box!!! EEEEEE. I LOVE the vintage soda cans, and this happens to be my fav!! So, I snatch one up (should of snatched two) and giddily headed to the register. As I am digging for my debit card, I notice my pharmacy punch card hanging out, all full and worth $10!!! I got free vintage Pepsi people! I am the happiest girl :)
This post was a lot longer than intended BUT, as I said earlier I never have luck or great deals on my side. What a wonderful day for shopping *sigh*

Christmas Day '09

Christmas Day was spent with the Kemker family! We got over there and started opening gifts. Brandon had me for Christmas and got me a Knit Wit!!! It's the new new rage and was featured in the Martha Stewart magazine! (Sorry, no picture) Steve got some new shirts which he looks great in and I also got some clothes. The kids got Beatles RockBand and many other Beatles items... It was a very Beatles Christmas to say the least. After a yummy lunch we played some RockBand with everyone and then called it a day!!! We had a great time being with everyone.. Thanks Kemker family!

Christmas Morning '09

This Christmas was surely one to remember! We got up around 7:45 (Kent said that we couldn't get up any earlier than 7:30) and headed to the tree! Santa was pretty good to us :) First we opened our stockings to find lots of sweets and other fun toys. Then we dove into our sea of presents. We got some pretty neat things: Lego RockBand!, bath robes, a folding table and chairs, clothes, blankets, books, and movies. I spoiled Steve with an electric Helicopter which he LOVES! AND he gave me the best present EVER..... A TRIP TO VEGAS!!!! We will be gone January 21st-25th! I opened up a box to find the Vegas sign, airline tickets, and a picture of the Resort we will be staying at, Tahiti Village! I am so so so excited! I NEED a vacation and it couldn't have come at a better time :) We have never been to Vegas together so it will be a new adventure! Thanks so much Steve... I LOVE my gift! Thanks Goates family for a great Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve '09

Christmas Eve was spent at Grandpa Goates, as it's tradition. All the kids and grand kids attend and it's so fun to be with everyone... Especially the kiddos. They are just so full of Christmas excitement! After a yummy dinner, we sat around and talked until the kids could no longer wait to open their pajamas from Grandpa. (Only the kids get pajamas, while the adults get other such things.) After Grandpas house, we went back to the Goates for our Annual Christmas Eve Sleepover! After we got our bed set up, we opened our jammies and then all the boys got together and played Little Big Planet. They are so competitive with each other that it's fun to watch them. When bed time came we were so wiped out! I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in. That, ladies and gents, is the sign of a good nights sleep!
